Common questions
How does pooling work?
Pools let multiple families commit to buying a share of an animal together. For example, four families might each buy a quarter of a cow. When all shares are committed, the farm processes the animal and each family picks up their portion.
What if the pool doesn't fill?
If a pool doesn't reach its target by the deadline, you can choose to extend the deadline, adjust the target, or receive a full refund of your commitment.
How much freezer space do I need?
A quarter beef share (about 100-125 lbs) typically requires 4-5 cubic feet of freezer space. We provide detailed estimates for each product.
Are the farms verified?
Yes. We verify every farm's location, practices, and certifications before they can list on HomeGraze. Look for the "Verified Farm" badge.
